hi guys

can you help i have an issue, it seems someone bodged the drain plug on the gearbox and i now need a new one can i get one on line or dose anyone know the thread size?

its not metric i know that much i think its unf.

i dont want to drill and tap if i dont have to.

cheers

It takes nothing to say thanks and it always goes a long way.

Btw I have ordered a new one I just need to collect it from the post office hope to get the box refilled tomorrow :)

Got to clean off and paint the gearbox cross member and that's it all done

Then onto the cam belt and adjust the rocker arms and so forth

Ok bung fitted and around 7 Ltrs of ATF oil in, oil a little warm now and reads a little over so I will wait till tomorrow when I refit the painted gearbox sub frame and have it all supported on its own.

I have had her in neutral and idling a added 0.5 Ltrs after the 1st five and just left the old girl to idle. I have put her in drive twice on idle to let the oil circulate a little and I feel her take the strain so I'll see how she fairs up tomorrow I guess

Gearbox done now found rear calipers seized up and need repairing :-(

Mind you I haven't used her for about 3 months as I use the works van a lot
