Where is currently the cheapest place to buy??

Land Rover Dealer £209.98 inc Vat (delivery Monday)
Land Ranger £198 inc vat (In Stock)
Ebay £165 inc Vat and Shipping (2-4 days)

Anyone know of anywhere else? or an alternative to spending this ridiculous amount on a PCB and a plastic box :-(

Thanks - as it's free delivery on orders over £50 I might as well add a few more bits onto the order.

Thanks :)

Thanks - I'll be putting an order through with them today, as I need the tailgate check strap cables as I snapped 1 last night climbing in, before you say it I'm not fat they were rusty! :p

Got a brand new in box one off a guy on ebay last week, he never fitted it, £51 quid, perfect. Whoever I outbid by £1, sorry :D I was lucky!

Where are those damn Delorian keys???

Don't worry! As long as you hit that wire with the connecting hook at precisely 88mph....

Doc

So I take it if I now remove the problem Interim one and lock the doors with the key - that should solve the problem without battery drain until my YWY500170 arrives??

Not Necessarily, as the RF recieiver needs to be in the circuit I believe our else you will get an alarm/CL fault.

Disconnect the blue Arieal lead only from your current box as this will reduce the sensitivity for the receiver to stray signals causing battery drain.

If you are going to lock the car with the key, beaware only to turn the key to LOCK once, as twice will superlock and you'll need the EKA to remobilise....

I have to lock mine with the key as the Unlock button doesn't work, and the first time I did it, I turned it twice to superlock, and then needed the EKA to restart the car.....only turn it to lock once....

Thanks for the advice, I have removed the Blue lead already and the drain is still happening, my Mac shows at least 6 or 7 wifi signals close enough to connect too and everyone on our street has remote keyfobs for cars, so the thing is bombarded with signals. I'll remove it completely as I'm not driving at the min anyway

That ones up to you....I just know i was left without a car for 2weeks as my door lock mech was faulty (didnt know at time) and i couldnt enter eka until i bought my nanocom.

There is a thread on here about test eka, might be worth a read....

Hope very much that it works o.k. as the US market operates on a different frequency to the 433Mhz used over here.
There was a seller on Ebay a few months ago selling locksets and keyfob sets-including the RF receiver for just over £100. Problem was, the locking door handle was for the LH door and the frequency was, I think 333Mhz.Obviously this system would be immune from spurious RF signals in the UK but the bandwidth is illegal. I don't think for a minute that the Government will be sittin outside your house with a detector van..like the pirate radio days !! but obviously your existing lock barrel would have to be modified to suit thenew key as the LH door latch does not have the additional switch & wiring for sending the input to the Becm or entering the EKA code.
