Hi all. Iv just gone to overtake a "slow moving" car and pressed the sport button and floored it. Since doing that iv got a pretty red srs warning light flashing and an srs fault message. Is there a kind soul near me with a reset tool who would like to earn themselves a drink? Im nr stonehenge in wiltshire. It a 96 p38 4.0 v8. Cheers
 
When i turn the key once all the lights work and all go out once engine starts, so bulbs are working. Im wondering/hoping that it was a split second glitch when i floored it and it just needs the fault code resetting. I like to be optimistic.

I'd love to know how you get on with this as I'm in this predicament
and need to see the SRS warning banished to get the damned thing MOT'd!!
Only to get the light reset/problem diagnosed, I need to drive it somewhere
but without MOT and on SORN... :rolleyes:
 
first off check the yellow srs cable under the seats, my airbag light went on after the passenger seat moved back, went off when the seat was moved forward. happened a couple of times before the light stayed on permenantly... A well known indi in Alton turned it off for me FOC, secured the cable properly and A1 since.

I'm not sure it's possible to see one bulb has failed from the front of the dash.
Sport button is a waste of time, it just delays upshifts and if your foot is on the floor makes little difference except in the mind.
