erm what sort of hummer the gay ones the plebs who want 'bling' drive or the original military one?

a money no object disco i would buy a 200tdi 3 door commercial and a chieftain ARV........ so i didn't have to have a winch

If I had the cash and if the parts were still around I'd build a D1 from the ground up and fix every problem as I went along, I love the simplicity of the D1 but don't love the leaks and drips.

Beat me too it there.

Money being no object, I d find a late D1 and have a " nut and bolt " restoration done on it.

Bodywork stripped right back, all corrosion cut out and replaced and have it repainted and undersealed at usuall corrosion points.

Chassis stripped, repaired and gavanized.
Axles completely renovated inside and out.
Engine/gearbox rebuilt.

Every single part on it that could be new, would be.

I think youd end up with something pretty unique.

Then I,d extend the " stables " so I could park it next to my 60 reg, modded up Defender for P&P days, my Audi RS4 and the Veyron Sport.

see my choices make monetary sense!!! you would have enough change from the tank to fuel both for 6 months!

Firstly, before you go handing out style tips, Hav,nt you got a beard ?.

Secondly, I like the RS4 cause it is the nicest " small " perfomance car I,ve ever driven.

( it appears that your style is on track with the S1 though ! ).

I think the Veyron Sport is soooo pretty.

( I forgot to mention the Escort Mk2 RS 2000 in my garage ! ).

But which Engine would you put in it? ;)

id be in there with a fully stripped d1 shell. ideally rot free, if not then repaired, then galvanised.

new chassis off richard - theyd make one for me for the price im offering :D

new axles and ashcroft internals, lockers and low ratio ring and pinion. atlas transfer case, some 'non-rover' gearbox.

crated 5.0ltr top hat bottom end with rpi top end and megasquirt.

body lifted 3" from chassis, full weld through roll cage, with complete bottom line protection, plus ally belly pan.

the rest is boring :D
