your opinions please?

hi guys i am looking for some opinions. basically i am looking at starting a company, using exoerienced ex-british army mechcanics, which will offer repairs to your land rover in all situations such as if you were off roading and your vehicle broke a spring my company would come out to you in the place you have broken down and fix it and if it couldnt be fixed there and then i would recover the vehicle to my premises or yours. my company may also hire out a replacement vehcile so your day wouldnt have to stop while we do the work.

any input would be very gratful and this is just the first idea forming but basically would a community such as this one use this company if it was avaliable to you?

I reckon most Landy owners could bodge togetrher a repair themselves but good luck with the mercenaries.

Hi, I have to agree with crashbox. mostly you will go out with someone else - at worst they will tow you out.
A garage specialising in landys would work i guess - as long as you spread the word enough & have a USP

thanks guys for the quick respones maybe a shock was a bad example but if your gear box or transfer box was to break we would try to fix it in the field or recover back and that would normally be the end of your day however if we were to run a spare truck for you then you coiuld carry on until we are complete on the job

do you have a large wedge of cahs behind you because this idea sounds expensive! in my experience, going independant requires a good base of clients and a lot of ready funds.

have been fixing all sorts of landys on the side of mil ones recently rewired a series three

rewiring a series 3 is nothing compared to an L322
Cant see how you can do major repairs (eg you mentioned gearbox) in the middle of a pay n play site.
People will just get there car recovered to their local garage or home.
just my opinion, but I certainly wish u every success.

cant see that working dude as most of us have AA or RAC to take us home ... but a 4x4 garage yeah that will work

series 3 aint a patch on l322 complications
