last year some of you may remember that I had no heater working.

You said it was becuase when I changed my coolant I added some K-seal to stop one of my core plugs weeping (it worked btw) and that had blocked the matrix.

Anyhoo I just finally got round to back flushing the matrix and it was totally clear , not blocked in any way!!

I am very happy about that and the fact I did not burst it in the process but I am still very puzzled by why my heater wont blow hot?

any ideas guys? as I dont fancy a winter freezing my ass off again!

I checked its not an airclock , bled it up with the cap off etc and also I poured coolant down the heater pipes before reconnecting them this time but I didnt last time (as they werent off obviously) so I cant see it being that.

Runs a treat , no overheating ever even when laning in 30c with a/c on.

temperature ajusting slider thingy on the dashbroken internally and stuck in the cold position. could just have been disconnected.
theres probably a proper name but it's been a bloody long day and i need beer.

lol , it seems you can get a tiny bit of luke warm air form the dash top vents and none from the face vents.

last year in the winter (hard to tell in this heat) I had some hot air form the top vents but it would "run out" after a few seconds.

I am just thinking back to when my mechanic put the heater hoses back on the wrong way round on my old bmw after having the head off, that gave a simlar simptom.

I wonder if one of the monkys I have under ther in the last year had cause to disconnect them and then put them back wrong. in that case:

Can anyone put a pic up or tell me which way round they go form the bulkhead (engine bay side)? to the metal pipes form the fill tube?

thanks

Ok Fett .. As I read this I think I understand what yer saying ... you've flushed EVERYTHING you've even poured water down into the Matrix to make sure its full ....SO....

First Question ....

Do the Pipes get hot ???
1. ANSWER = .....YES then the pipes are crossed over

2. ANSWER =....... NO then theres a blockage from the engine waterways to the Htr
Pipes

If it were ME I'd be goin fer No 1 .. they are crossed connected ....

Either that or the defibulation union is vibrating at a different frequency than the snap tappet.

FFS lol you guys are alot of help :p

more seriously I have asked K-man to tell me which way his are connected and I think they are the same, been a bit busy this weekend so am gonn have a look the next couple of days.

otherwise could it be the flap has stuck? I have vacuum going to and form the resvoire and then dissapearing behind the bulkhead

Awww yer should have said before about the flap ... I know now what it is ............

its the Fluffle Valve where it connects to the Prompter rod just by the purbulator the wassamolie interpretator was become dislodged causing it to vibrate against the Clacktor interpolator valve.......this causes reverse osmosis during cavitation of the H2o whilst passing into the Zigamorphic channel

if you put 2 3/8ths of a turn on to the Snufle pull out lever it'll work fine but ...

You'll have to do it whilst standing on 1 leg & holding 2 strands of yer pubic hair while humming "Scotland the Brave"... but that will only work on the third tuesday of the month & at sunrise with 3 turtle doves flying over yer head .....if yer try it at any other time you'll have to be wearing a Pink Ballet dress & tiara, smoke a Indiain peace pipe & do a Twirl on yer "tippy Toes" with yer hands above yer head after every movement of said Snuffle Pull out lever ....

THERE NOW ...............SORTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well the hoses (on the car!!!) are correct so WTF is up with it ????????????

Ideas and methods please guys!!!! :D

(and thats to fix the heater ok!::hijacked::focus:

You got a thermostat fitted to the engine? Otherwise does it have a valve in the matrix flow, as it's an "old" car it might have. If so this could be seized shut. Have you tried putting a hosepipe on the input pipe and seeing if water comes out the other pipe?

yup it flows perfect!

and there is a stat and it runs perfeclty for temp. would have cooked it by now if stat was shut and it never overheats but does get up to correct temp in good time.

I am flumoxed

So you are just left with a stuck blend flap if it has one (know nowt about the classic) or a blockage in one of the flexible hose feed pipes, maybe a collapsed inner wall on the return pipe.
