the steering wheel is the usual give away - but that's not to say he's not spent a few quid doing some ''upgrades''

He does say it's had a face lift and to be fair as long as he has the reciepts it looks OK to me.

Well the doors look wrong, mine 85 has pull up handles and slide windows and then i know they went to pull up handles and wind down windows, not wind down and push buttons, the dash looks like mine.

Hmm He will need reciepts for every detail of a 300TDi then and from what I can see thats everything.

He will also need to explain why it also looks like its never been apart?

Folk on here who wonder why their trucks go missing so regularly only to come back on long departed early eighties plates need look no further.

You just need to put 'facelifted' in the advert.

The tub is and fuel filler neck is from 1986, doors ain't, stearing wheel ain't, wheels ain't.

so taking a C plate 90 and turning it into that is what you'd call a ''light'' change

Taking a 94/5/6 Defender 90 and turning it into a C plate is a light change if all you have really done is change the plates.
