6-1 Wading kit done :D

Nice kit, would recommend it, as everything went togethe fine, and plenty of tubing.

Also, as I got some extra bits sent, I extended the thin pipe that went into my old air box, and now that also goes into the wading manifold up to the snorkel top - so I now have a 7-1 kit :D:D

Bring on the water at the Bristol & West Land Rover show......

Nah, you don't need that, you get the part/breather thingy (can't think of its name - not enough coffee yet) in the pack which you use.

You just need to drill the timing plate (measure a few times before drilling ;)) then the breather part just attaches with a nut on the bolt. I then put on a load of gasket sealer on it and the plate and then put it all back together.

honestly, don't waste your money on that ebay item, its a piece of pi$$ to do - I did it :D

Just draw a line from 2 of the bolt holes on the plate, and then drill in the middle of the line - and jobs done!

I have just ran the tube up along the snorkel tube and then poked the top bit into the mushroom, couldn't be bothered to take it all apart again to run the tube inside the snorkel.

If I get chance over lunch I will take some more pics of it, including the timing breather.

haha thanks for the encouragement ;) I was thinking of running the final tube down the snorkel into and through the airbox back onto the breather in the engine bay and sealing the hole I'll have to drill in the airbox with copious amounts of RTV  that way its all neat and tidy.
I'm going to attempt to take the airbox out tonight if I have time and plug the holes up as I have those expanding pins now. Then if I have time I'll fit the snorkel adaptor (got it free from the plumber its not right but it fits)

Must remember to re-wire my lights too with something neater then mould them to the windscreen pillar with that rubber putty you can buy

On the plus side the bumpers more or less done :D should hopefully be picking up the last bits today if not next week as I'm going to take the intercooler out tonight to clean it if I get a chance so the disco will be disabled for a day or so :)

Had to go out at lunch to pick up 2 new rear bump stops, so got some pics for you.....enjoy :D

All pretty much self explanatory, but let me know if you need any further pics/info

Oh you kind bugger :D

Cheers that last pic explains a lot, I just ordered the breather kit so might have to re-read your posts and send you a PM if I get a bit stuck :p

Off to fit the Southdown now though as I've finished painting the bumper :D

no problemo

as for fitting the kit, the instructions arn't brilliant, but its one of those jobs that is easier to do than try and explain, if you know what I mean, but by all means drop me a pm if you need any points, and we can chat it through ;)

Why is it that we always seem to have about 10 jobs on at once :D I am just hoping the rain will keep away so I can switch my front springs and get rid of the 'dragster' look, then there's the rack to finish, and now you have got me interested in making up some bumpers........

haha no idea :p I need to do my springs too so hopefully I'll get that done next week. Just gonna go with the standard height HD ones as theres a new set for £50 in the village where Phoebe lives so it makes it easy to collect.
As to the bumper :D go for it they're useful ;) Mines partially painted now just to keep the rust from forming if it rains so I'll get some pics. Hopefully I'll get the end caps welded on tomorrow then the bar at some point next week

wondered why you had the indicator out - that explains it, as I went in at the side of where the original air box was.
