Well since this started as a snorkel thread and has sorted of changed into a breather/wader thread, to save starting a new thread, hopefully someone can help me with my breather fitting question...

here are the instructions I received

not brilliant, as pics would have been nice...

anyways, this is what I have left so far - I have only done the fuel and rear axle breather so far...

I reckon I will work out where all the banjo's fit by methodically going through, but where do the plugs fit - the 4 of them pictured at the top??

Doesn't seem to refer to them in the instructions - I am guessing they are the wading plugs - but insure where to plug em

I am thinking I might have beed sent too many parts, as I am sure there are only 2 wading plugs from reading on here....plus this is the pic of the item I bought

which doesn't show 4 plugs and half the stuff I seem to have....unless that's just a standard stock photo for all their listings...

so looks like I have got extra kit then...spares :D

are you ok to keep the wading plugs in 24/7 once the breather kit is fitted?

Have sourced some diff oil since water spat out when I removed the old 'sealed' breather, and they have both GL4 and GL5 types - 5 litres for £20.99. I am best going for the GL5 or just the normal GL4? - I haven't a clue whats been in it before.....

Have got sorted, gl5 is what i got, and rear diff oil now changed :D

Was going to do a new thread for this next bit, but will try it on here to see if anyone can help me first.

Just got a problem with the breather kit tho, can I heck find the breathed for the gearbox. Found the one for the transfer box, just up from the hand brake drum, but strugglin for gearbox pipe.

Also for the timing breathed, the fuel pump inspection plate...is it this plate with the 3 bolts I need to remove and drill to fit the banjo...

Thanks for any help/input

Right hand side near the top next to the bell housing. And a compleat pain to get to.
And for the timing case I drilled the cover with the three bolts ran a tap throught it and checked there was clearance. Job done.

Just trying to find one for the one on top of the bell housing so I can finish the job tonight

Yes, the circle is the gearbox breather .. and yes, it's a beeatch to get to, and yes to the timing plate cover .. ;)

Cheers, hopefully now I know where I am looking, will get it all sorted tonight.

As a last resort, if I cannot get to the banjo on the gearbox, might see what the breather pipe is like, and just extend it...

Will the gasket seal I have (used for the lift pump etc) be ok to use to re-seal the timing cover when I fit the breather?

Yes, I just used the same blue hermetite that I use on most basic gasket faces. Just use it sparingly and clean both surfaces as best you can.
