I know wht your saying about the lights, I occasionally take look on ebay and they are going for silly prices. are the RRS AND FFRR the same size units, maybe would look a bit odd if they were quite a bit bigger/smaller?

If I do come across some for a good price would it be ok to PM you or if you get round to selling yours PM me? its far off my list of priorities right now but would be good to know.

I was looking at fitting facelift D2 lights and then fitting xenon or HIDs.

I'n my Astra GSi, I'm probably going to be swapping to Angel Eyes, with HIDs as I have headlamp washers and electronic levellers.

At the moment the candles in the disco do my head in! even when on main beam, so when I'm on main beam I will flick my roof spots on which are linked off my main beam feed.

To be honest, I never fitted them to make the 300 look any better, or newer etc, just fitted them to get some actual light on the road, but reckon with a little jiggery pokery here and there, they may look ok

I looked into getting angel eyes in my beemer, from memory the ones to go for were CCFL but that was a long time ago now.

Tis funny, i drive around with my high beams on just fr fun and never get people flashing me. They're just so candle like and that's with 100w bulbs!

...Or it could just be your Disco's so high that full bean is shining over their heads rather than into their eyes.....

i had a set on my 300 tdi they were good on low beam but if you used the high beam and went back to low they switched off nice light but you end up getting blinded by others because ur blinfing them so they use the high beams so id stick to a set of 100 watters :D

My headlights are rubbish so I definitely want an upgade. I am looking at Ring xenonultima which were mentioned earlier in this thread but looking at the vehicle handbook it just gives the wattage, so do do I get H4 for the main/dipped (60/55) and H1 for the inboard full beam lamps (55)? ...and if so, what's a H7?

Just want to add to this that HiD's are not an MOT failure, they aren't a great idea and your beam pattern may fail the MOT but fitment of HiD lights are passable even without washers/self leveling.

There was a thread about this a while ago though, the best way IMO to improve light is fit new headlights, the reflectors rust and drop output by a surprising amount even when they look OK. This with a new set of higher output bulbs (which also are a legal mine field) will give you good light output without dazzeling other drivers...
