Hi all ,

I have a X9 winch on my 110 and currently only goes one way.

Checked terminals checked solenoids put 12volt straight on to turminal and a big fat nothing .

So guessing it's the motor , is it worth repairing or replacing .

As always your superior knowledge is welcome .

Have you checked it in the same way as the lads are telling the bloke in the thread 5 threads down

If the rest of the winch is good ,IE gears ,bearings and overall condition then get a motor

No doubt some winch dude on here will recommend you a motor up grade

Ok , that's £35 and seems easy enough .what about motor. Anyone you'd recommend can't seem to find them for less then £180 ( is that about right ).

If it works one way I don't think it will be the winch, to test it,

Put earth to earth Link a and f1 and positive to f2 motor will turn one way
Then agin earth to earth link a and f2 and positive to f1 motot will turn the other way, if it does then chech the switch your using is working and sending power if it is then is th solanoids

Have done this and nothing , seems to be going straight down to earth .

Striped motor and presence of water in case and windings burnt.

Got £300(ish) to spend can anyone recommend a new one ? Looking at super winch tiger shark or winchmax .

Its a superwinch , so well know and tested ,
Also few people have them
I got the 9500
But for the extra £100 can get the 11500

well packed sealed solnoid literally a black and red wire for battery and away u go
got to tighten wire on drum first tho

Right resurrect an old thread does the bow motor fir the super winch x9 series 2 winch?? Obviously the motor itself is about 40mm longer motor wise but does it actually physically fit mounts splines etc
