Right i've finally got some WVO from the local pub but just read on the container that it contains anti foaming agents E900.
Can this still be used to run my Disco, im led to believe E900 is a silicone agent that will burn creating very fine sand particles that hopefully should cause no damage to the engine, is this true of WVO containing it?
Just filtered 10 litres of it so far.
Any advice greatly appreciated.:)

We've all put our 10 bob's worth into debating this one and the answer is.............................we don't know:confused: I'ved used it with no apparent ill effects but I think it's a bit more smokey than stuff with no additives.

Are you using SVO or WVO?
Just been on vegetableoildiesel.co.uk - Powered by XMB
Someone there reckons its fine but they're using a 2 tank system, dont know the effects of pouring filtered WVO direct into the diesel tank??

I've got a great supply of it here when i need it, only thing is i havent tried using it yet, ive filtered about 15 litres through j-cloths and a fine mesh sieve. Think i'll let it settle a few days then sieve through cloths again. i'm assuming i can just pour it straight in my tank too??

If your thinking long term dont risk it:) :) :)

I would imagine the majority of WVO people are obtaining has anti foaming agents in it.

Correct most of it has.
Bio producers if they are any good process it out.
So again i say if you are using it short term go for it.
A lot of people say"I just bung it in and i,ve had no problems for the last week/3000 miles"
Thats all bolloxs the damage don't happen overnight.
It's a build up like furry fukin arteries.

Sorry to be bolshi but i did have a bad experience with the ****ty stuff once.
