WTF is that Dave?

its been difficult not to reply for the last few days, while enquiries were being made.
however, having read the documentation provided to sarah, I must clear up the misconception that dave was sold with a galvy chassy- it was never advertised as having one in the first place. where she got this idea from I don't know, but in her naivety didn't know how to check for it and made the assumption it was galvy.
she needs to *cough* apologise for this bit and i'm sure that will come in time.

regards progress with the rest, the business in question has contacted sarah via text asking if everything is alright. she passed my number over and I spoke directly and have arranged to meet up with the three of us at their premises.

at the moment, that's all I am prepared to divulge.

At least there is a possibility of Dave being made good.

At least Sarah will not have to confront them alone.

Good luck with your meeting.

This is turning into a really interesting saga!.
I can't think of anywhere else you would find the welcome given to a newby turning so rapidly into the kind of solidarity that is normally only found after knowing someone for years. It must be a good feeling Sarah, to find you're backed up not just with words, but deeds as well.

They pretend to be a bunch of grumpy gits on here, but I think the truth might be slipping out;) Good luck in your fight.:high5:

Yes it is a great feeling. I keep saying thank you -but it doesn't feel like enough :D:D:D

I have to chip in and say how well this is being handled. Benefit of doubt being given quite properly until the full story is told to those directly involved, and awesome support for Sarah in her hour of need.

Given the 'grumpy git' 'pretence' (;)) that might be seen from time to time, a great story peeps.

As for the state of the Defender - there was obviously some rose tint to the specs, and misunderstanding maybe of 'galvanised' or not...... and some (ok a couple) of the issues were 'cosmetic' or what you might expect - however the likes of suspension and ball joints falling apart under their own weight might take some explaining.......

I guess nrg is familiar with the RTA obligation to supply a vehicle safe for use on the roads?? Section 176 ish........

Good luck with the discussions - better than East Enders if only there hadn't been so much grief in the first place...! Cheers, A

met this morning, started with a handshake and ended with a handshake.
without going into all the details, the meeting was professional, amicable and issues are going to be addressed.

yep, brilliant news. :)

I had the impression that the seller wouldnt have even entertained a discussion over it, so fair play at least they are sorting it out.
