No he sold the others for £44.........he's probably just got no stock at the moment and doesn't want to lose his sales ranking by finishing the listing and by putting them at a daft price he knows they won't sell.

This^^^^ lots of sellers do it. I'v got a Freelander header tank on my watch list. It's normally around £28 but on occasion jumps to around£1000!!

Yep. They all do it...their listings are good till finished...and they just hike the prices when waiting for stock to come in.....it keeps them top of the rankings when you search for an item.

then you have the sellers that put a big delivery price on but now ebay are charging the same rate on delivery as well as the advertising ,serves them right Ebay looked into it and this way they are tackling those people that charge exuberant postal charges

Yep there wre some who did this for fee avoidance.....low item price with high postage costs........I always look at the total cost anyway and then buy from the cheapest seller with good feedback.
The problem you have now is with eBay charging 10% on postage fees all they have done is make all the sellers add the fee to the item price meaning your paying more for the same item.
