Im half thinking of doing a stand at Billing.
A small stand is £300 going up in £75 increments. I havent been for 11 years+ so is it still a meca where I might sell some bits and make contacts or a overpriced boot sale.
What do you lot think?

I believe you have enough good reports to make a stand work.

You dont even have to sell any cross members(think you'd be foolish not to take any though ;) ) but you could make good contacts and get work booked in for the future.

If you could get some other examples of your work on the stand you should do well.

i would say looking at your work you would have no problem selling your stuff, it looks well made, i like to see samples of stuff before i buy and usually would want to buy it now and take it away with me, so i would say shows are the place, but take lots of different stock with you so peeps can see what you do

How many rear cross members you need to sell to get cost back, or roll cages, or one of your tube frame Fenders. One of them surely get you fees back.

Nothing ventured nothing gained. Making people aware you are out there with a service is only good for business.

Do it. Worth a try. Not too expensive really. If it works then do more next year.

If you want a hand on your stand I'll come help out... find shows more interesting when working! (Not that I know your products but offers still there :) )

Thanks for replies, I'll save up and have a go and try and get a couple of truck builds up there if I can borrow them.
Thanks for offer bump

I will be visiting Billing this year so my Landy will be there if you need someone/something to model one of your crossmembers?

I think If you can supply enough stock for folk to buy there and then .
some buy on impulse,need.
if its a matter of I take your order and send you one isn't as effective as I got one right here show price and you get lots of people with big smiles on there faces ;)
I for one don't like waiting if I want something especially at shows .
Any way hope you go for it and good luck .

No steel last forever but I'm surprised you can't compete with the tin crossmembers that most manufactures churn out go wriggle your way in with a distributor :D

Billing seems to be overpriced tat!! You would sell alot of x members, tow rings maybe 3 or 4 roll cage orders i would say as everything else there for sale is just crap. I think however Peterborough is a better show and might be more worthwhile and cheaper.
