worst 4x4 iv ever owned

I've just had a look on their advert and it says nowt about it being anything other than a direct replacement.

Trading standards - "fit for purpose"??

dint this happen a while back, and the company owner claimed they were sold as 2wd conversions ?

Seem to remember summat about that, they were as I recall just as expensive as a working one, but stopped it destroying the IRD , and indeed going anywhere remotely slippy.

Trading Standards are worth a call, but the real threat is small claims court, costs you a few quid to register a claim, the other party then has to defend it, likely to cost them a lot more.

Considering the amount, and quality, of information on here about the VCU issue I'm surprised that people are getting caught out with dodgy units, especially as there are two outfits with a good rep mentioned quite often on the site

if my replacement is duff small claims court will be my next call
then ill call bell engineering there 2 hrs or so away but ill travel

me to they have promissed to have it checked and if faulty replace it by the end of the week

they have recieved mine back and a new one is on the way I will let you know when i have it fitted as i know of some wet fields

did thay test it thay told me when thay get it thay would test it and send me a new one if it was duff

They'll give you a web addy for a courier service, get the collection booked before 12:00 and the VCU is with Bell the next day, cost you a tenner, I doubt you'd be able to drive it for that

Or are you going to get them to fit it for you?
