got a bit of a problem, 4.0l se lay at work for 2 days,started it up and moved it a 100yrds, no problem, i put a few gallons of petrol, drained by machine out of damaged cars in, i turned on the ignition twice to check the level and when finished it wouldnt start, just turned over but wouldnt fire, no messages on the screen, any ideas anybody, help help.

i reckon its yo cold start system.
I have the same prob with my X-T.
wot happens is - when yu start it, the ecu cuts in a cold start, which floods the fuel in, if yu only drive a VERY short distance, it doesnt reset, and then the injun is flooded and wont start for ages. Sometimes i need to crank it for 10-15minutes to clear the fuel - or leave it 24 hours .

i left it up the yard tonite and ahl try it in the morning, forgot to say we put some of the fuel in a citroen c4 and it made it home no problems,

first thing to check is fuel pressure at the rail, check for pressure then release pressure then crank then check pressire again!
