I'm new to the forum so hope I'm posting in the right place

I have a series 2 land with series 3 bodywork.

The problem is when I’m turning hard right the wheel looks like it’s buckled. I can feel it through the steering wheel as well. Straight line is normal with no wobble at all! Can someone help with what it is! or where to start looking! Cheers

First of all :welcome2: to the madhouse :D:D

Lift your front end up and see if you have top to bottom and/or side to side movement on the wheel.

It sounds as though it could either be your wheel bearings or the swivel pins.

Once you have had a look, come back and let us know what you have found, then we can take it from there.

Or you might have a weakened sidewall on the tyre. Start with the wheel off the ground and spin it - does it wobble? is there any sign of damage? then look for worn swivel/bearings. If it's the tyre they're best replaced as a set or at least an axle pair. If it's the swivel its a couple of hours, the bearings an hour or so. (plus the usual landy seized and rusted nut overhead plus the cleaning off the thirty years of mud and grease)
If you have to take it all apart consider replacing all the seals and bearings and possibly the ball as well.

need to go throughit check buckled wheel, wheel bearings, swivel pins, ball joints if you replace what needs replacing you should have no trouble.

Dispite the giggles series LRs actually drive ok there should be no slop in the steerings and the brakes will work well on a well maintained sorted motor. Many are not kept that good

Managed to get the Landy jacked up today, there was a small amount of play on the wheel but couldn’t tell if this was just the movement of the wheel. Off to a mates at the weekend so will have another go with his help should have a better idea.

Have you got big tyres? Is the steering stop set correctly? Maybe the tyre is rubbing on the leaf spring at full lock making it appear to "wobble".

Thanks for that Lodger!
Had it jacked up todays at a friends and there didn't seem to be any play in the wheels at all.
The Landy does have big tyres so will check the steering stop next.
