Hi, I'm new to this and came across this site when looking for some info to help me plan my trip across Europe in my trustee 13 year old Freelander. I've got to equip my Landy to accommodate my Labrador comfortably and safely during a 5,000 mile trip, oh yes and literally accommodate me if it pours with rain and I don't want to put my tent up.

Due to leave mid-August with 10 countries to get under my belt before I return to these shores, all advice and suggestions welcome. :)

If its a 5 door whip out the rear seats or at least the double one .

Welcome .

Such a simple idea to take out the seats, but just the kind I need.

It's a fuel guzzling petrol, but a fantastically reliable vehicle (but of course) so I've decided to keep it through for my trip

Sadly petrol, but too reliable a vehicle to risk changing and I'm relying on petrol being cheaper in some countries than the UK, although yet to research petrol in Albania, Montenegro and Croatia. I've worked out I'll be going through a whopping 1,100 litres, if I don't detour too much, guess where my travel budgets being spent on :-(
