Got a knocking on the front end have put it down to play in the drivers side wishbone ball joint (a lot of)

bin haveing a quick look around and it looks like it's a wishbone replacement as the ball joints are riveted on but you can get just the ball joints of e-blag!

Any thoughts? worth doing or better to change the whole wishbone?

Cheers!

Cheers MHM :)

Have changed just the ball joint in the past on other motors (drill rivets, bolt new ball/joint on etc...) but always nice to have others views!

Will have a looook

if ya got the tools grinder ,good vice lot of time and tools then unrivet it. . . .better to change the whole wishbone me thinks :)

I remember reading NI's post myself, he had a right job to get the rivets out.

You're going to have enough of a job with the bushes, let alone the rivets. If you want an easy job, then replace the whole wishbone and the bush housing (with bush already pressed in). If you don't mind ****ing about for a couple of days then just do the ball joint itself.

Fooooooooook I love you lot (sometimes :D)

Bollix to that, I'm gunna get a whole new wishbone :)

Thanks for info as I'm sure I would have gone down the "ball joint" only road otherwise
