Bulb holders are the first place to look clean em up and wipe with silicone grease or something like that.

tis, ive downloaded one, am in the realms of making it now, i just need an adult ter use the scissors
I've had this problem although not in a Freelander. Check the rear stop/tail light (the one with 2 elements) I found that one lamp had been manufactured with an extra long filament and had shorted the brake and sidelight circuits. Changing the lamp solved the problem.
