Wiring Breakthrough??

Ok,

So does doubling the cable mean more power can travel?
(IE it wont just melt one of them?)

Sorry to ask a stupid question :)

To add confusion,

Wheres the best place to put a battery master key switch, on a Series Landy?

Just though might be a good idea?

Best place for a power invertor to be hard wired in?

Thanks,

Thanks,

1) somewhere where it cant be easily detected, and you can supply Battery cable to and from it.

2) somewhere yu can supply a high current wire to it.

Dont forget - yu havent made any allowance fur battery cable.

What about wiring the invertor straight of the battery, then with another master key to turn that on and off, as have heard that any invertor over (either 180 or 300 cant remember which) should be hard wired in.

Anyway, had better be off for tonight, back later!

wot about moving the battery under the passenger seat, like the deependers and put the isolator and converter there too?

ffs - do I have to do everyfink round here?

my consultancy fees are quite reasonable:D!!!!!!

Would you only like to use the inverter when the engine is running? If so It can be switched from the alernator with a relay, Did my auxilary electric for my caravan like this with no problems. Then if you stall you not end up with a flat battery from the inverter draining all the power.

The alternator dont have anything to do with the starter. that is driven straight from the battery - and yes - alot more current - just look at the thickness of the cable from the battery to the starter - 110-450 Amps or so. Yu try and find a 450 amp auto relay.

Ok, I will try again. What is the switching current of a stater solonoid? alot greater than a standard 30amp I would presume. So using the alernator to switch the 30amp solonoid would take the load of switching the starter solonoid off of the alernator. Then using the 30amp solonoid to switch the higher current for the starter solonoid. If not forget I mentioned the idea :)

ermmmmmm ?

make sure it's a big extinguisher

and add an auto electrics for dummies book to your order cos you is all confused about how things work

to borrow a phrase from grunt " wibble wibble wibble I'm a teapot"
but seriously if you take a live feed from the speedo earth and connect it through the ERG valve using 1.75mm² copper coated aluminium wire and joined using silver solder you will have a home made flux capacitor capable of handling electricle current much greater than 5.5amps per volt²km
