Before I start stripping down the dash, has anyone had these probs and what was the fix?
No auto return on both speeds( both speeds work) and intermittent wipe is exactly that!, sometimes does one swipe followed by two then stops in the middle of screen.
I was thinking relay? Can here it clicking on and off just at wrong times
Cheers Mick.

park switch and if still intermittent with it disconnected motor still stops clean armature with abrasive and clean slots with stanley knife blade.
check bush bearings for wear

if its stopping as soon as you turn the stalk off then park switch

once the wipers are moving it keeps them going even if the stalk is off until they are in the park position

There's a Busters Photo Guide on getting to the wiper motor if you need it

Cheers S. but Im ok stripping it down. Really wanted to know if it was an obvious fix. Will try a new park switch, hazards not working either. With switch on I have no indicators but when hazard switched off, indicators start working. I'd say its been sat in a barn most of the last 10years and not much need for indicators or hazards so switches and connectors could be a bit corroded.

Good stuff, and should just be a park switch swap out

Hazard switch can be notorious for causing weird leccy problems

If you swap out, genuine Lucas only:)
