Hello all, I've got an ex-commando 110 that was kitted out as a wader by the military and also had the cold weather equipment. It came my way as an orphan about 12 years ago. The engine & gearbox/transbox went onto another military 110, but the wader has been in my barn in Normandy (the chickens & sheep appreciate it) since the announcement of Defender finishing up.Is there anyone that wants the military vibe interested, or do I pop a 300 Tdi/R380 in it and put another 110 back into circulation? While on the subject of engine swaps, I'm taking the '89 Turbo Diesel out of my 90 to rectify the rear main oil seal-is it worth replacing it with a 200/300Tdi as it's out? The 90 is quite good apart from the oil leak, is it worth trying to keep it as original as possible? Thanks for any jibes or adult input.

It's always worth swapping a 2.5td for any tdi. Unless your desperate for originality. As for the other vehicle, get an engine in it and get it on the road.
