Found this site as searching to see whether it is worth putting winter tyres on my four year old freelander. My trustworthy local garage says that there is no need - I bought snowchains last year just in case (although haven't tried to fit them yet). Weather getting worse all the time and need to visit horse along country roads eight miles away
