Window Tinting Ideas.

I'm thinking of tinting some windows on my disco. I use it for shifting my dogs quite a bit and reckon they could get fed up of the sun in the mush on long journeys. Plus I hope it'd make it look less like a greenhouse.

I'm open to suggestions... has anybody tinted and done something they wish they hadn't? gone too dark maybe?
My disco is dark grey.

Tinted the windows on my 300tdi last summer, all windows behind B post inc alpines.
Takes a long time to do to get a good result but well worth it when finished. I think you need to do it indoors. Got my tinted film from

Cost about £20 for the lot. I thought it was good quality film.
Went for limo black, look like a drug dealer!

If you tint your front window's how much light does it have to let though to be legal thanks Steve

If you use it for transporting your dogs tint the windows as normal then get some 4mm polycarb from your local glazier and cut to size to put over the film in your luggage area to stop the dogs marking the film

I have a donor disco with all the windows tinted if you want to buy them ready tinted and swap. That way you can have a tinted set and untinted for the winter
