I did eventually get round to putting a tester to it, 12v present at pin one, hope replacing the pack works and i'll get the car dried out ASAP
If you're just going to chuck the old one, I'm interested in paying for postage for it. Probably of no use to me either, but I wouldn't mind having a crack to see if I can figure out what's actually failed on it.
Hope the replacement one sorts your problem though!
