hi all,
maybe someone who runs a td5 with climate control can shed some light on this, when i am underway, i get wind noise from the front left dash area (this is uk based) it sounds like my old 90 with the left air vent open, this is regardless on what temperature it is set at.

any clues or is this normal?

Mine would do this if the fan selection was made for face vents and say only one of the centre vents was open, you could get a slight wind noise from the outer vents if they were closed. If didn't happen on other selections such as screen or floor.

hi mantamad,
thanks for the reply, i think i will have to investigate a a bit more, my climate control is set for auto, which is balanced, i am fairly sure all my dash vents are open, this noise (hearing from the drivers side)sounds like its in the area of the base of the left side of the windscreen.

so from what you say, it would appear that i might have a problem, maybe there is a fault with the system somewhere, maybe keeping a fresh air vent open on that side, who knows, will have to peruse the parts manual a bit better.

thanks

Don't know if this helps or not I have a 51 plate ES and for a while I had a noise coming from the air vents it sounded like a release of pressure. It happened for a few weeks and then stopped I also noted that the air con wasn't working around this time, turned out to be a problem with the air con (hole in one of the pipes behind the front grill)
