I take it you need two of these to replace the four on a warn....

Out of interest, why do you have four on a warn. I'd have thought you have one to power the forward on the motor, and one to power the reverse.. Obviously I'm missing something.

Anybody tell me why theres four?

Cheers

No, only 1 mike. :)

The HD contactors have 1 power in, 1 main power out (to winch) and 2 power out (spool in/spool out). the 3 spade connectors are for your wanderlead or in-cab switch (earth/in/out).

These are effectively sealed control box units that replace the warn open one. Less to go wrong, last longer, can be easily relocated etc etc.

Why do you need a main power to the winch, as well as spool in and spool out.

Surely, in order to winch, all you need to do is apply powere to the correct terminal on the motor. the ground can remain the same... ie one ground, to battery neg terminal, one switched positive for winch in, ad one switched positive for winch out? what am I missing here?!!?!

no your wrong..

positive feed to solenoid
main power from solenoid to a on winch
spool in and spool out from solenoid to winch f1 and f2

gnd to bottom of winch and to solenoid
