May help someone along the way .
My 2003 td6 vogue td6 diesel came up with left hand valve as a hard fault . Tried to reset but as soon as reset it hard faulted . Used the rsw and depressurised the system (twice for safety )
Removed the air lines ,cautiously as there is some residual pressure . Ive had problems before with the valve so ive fitted those easy pushfit fittings as im always concerned about cross threading the connections .especially upside down lieing on my back . There are three pins on the rear connector ,i chad a second hand valve here so i measured the resistance on the new one . i think one is earth and the other two are the coil connections . Easiest way is to find the highest connections (on ohms) mine was 5 ohms then the unused one is the common earth . from the common to each of the other two i measured 3 ohms on each . On my fitted one i read the 5 ohms but couldnt get any ohms from the common to either of the other two . So i would think that the earth connection internally was woofed . I carefully used torx head keys and swapper over the solenoid bit ( the bit with the connections and held on by four torx head screws ) Id rebuilt the valve block a couple of months ago so knew the seals etc were in good health so didnt swap the valves only . reassembled the valve and the pushfits ,cleared the fault and it now works . I did have to re calibrate the motor though as id been driving it for so long .
Hope this helps someone along the way as ive received so many good tips and helpful posts off others on here
