as we all know the red key type cut of switches are crap, mines lasted 3 months and packed up and they dont really handle the power

can anyone recommend a decent cut off switch?

ive seen the ones that connect direct to the battery terminals but dunno if there any good?

and also the silver lucas type with a built in black turnkey on top but dunno if there any good aswell

so im hoping the font of all knowledge will have someone thats found a decent one that works:D

Mate of mine just used an Anderson type connector, with the 'key' looped on itself to act as a puller to cut-off. Simple and reliable, but a little faffy, especially if you don't cover the socket side from mud etc.

Durite make some pretty heavy duty ones that seem to be used on a few challenge landys. My mate has one as his winch cut-out on his works truck. It gets used hard and has never failed. The red key ones tend to die after a while, get the one whereby the key looks like a piece of bent bolt (not a great description i know)

I only supply and use durite stuff, if you have a local motec or check online you can get good prices(not ebay ,too pricey)
