I did consider it.

It would give better winching angles than a fixed bumper and it would aid spoolin the cable back on. It would take up too much space inside my landy when it's not being used though. As I live 5 mins away from the nearest poit I can park, carrying the winch to my shed everytime is not really an option.

Why not mount the winch under the back of the 110 - with just the fairlead at the back end - you could easily mount all the electrics inside then?

On the 110 the fuel tank is behind the crossmember. On 90's there's room to do it.

Nothing a little cutting and welding wouldnt cure. Does the tank butt up to the x-member - or is there any gap?

I have considered mounting it between the crossmember and the tow bar/drop hitch to chassis supports. I could then get a small roller fairlead and attatch that to the drop hitch.

It would need a lot of reinforcing though.

Is yours the plastic fool tank or metal?
You could use an auxiliary fool tank instead which, I assume, would free up the current space?

Plastic.

I'm hoping to fit an Auxilary tank ASWELL as the standard one.

I'll take some pics later on this afternoon

Here ya go. If you look at the depth between the tank and the tow bar braces I rekon I might be able to squeeze it in there.

and i cant see a tank - but then i know nothing about deepender builds.

It makes it easier to spot in Tesco'c car park. As it aint as obvious to find as my last one I thought I'd make it easier.

The tank is directly behind the crossmember. I'll take some pics and measurements this afternoon when i get up.
