hey folks..just a quick mechanical question (maybe moral) !! Front drivers side bearing/hub needs replacing..cannot afford to or have time to for may be a week or two...should the car be used in the mean time wife really needs it for work??

any feed back would be much appriciated...:smokin:
 
My friend 'jackknifed' her Landy while driving it with broken bearings because the wheel jammed and luckily didn't kill herself or anyone else. I drove 500 km from Rome to home with broken bearings only because if I went at a steady 90 km/h and in a straight line (on the motorway) the centrifuge kept everything spinning more or less OK. It was not an experience I would like to repeat and would not have driven it if I'd been closer to home.
 
Bearings can sieze up when they fail which in turn can lock up a wheel, not good if going at any speed other than slow..:boom:

thank you...tho not really the answer i was hoping for...guess i better get some money making schemes underway....how much does an arse sell for..tis in good condition and has been well loved??:eek::eek::eek:

would be nice to know exhatly wot he got so as not to cause confusion,,,
but yes a complete hub is a hole lot more..

Wife has disco 2 ..i am currently rebuilding my 90, just to clarify.
anyway problem solved today wheel has siezed so is off road (not the good kind) till pennies become available.
