Good evening Range Rover experts. I apologise in advance for creating a new thread but I cant find the answer I'm looking for via by searching here or google.

I'm looking for some info on a P38 for some Italian friends of a friend. The limited info that I have is that they can't get it started . They have a open door warning message on the dash and they think that this is preventing the engine starting. Are they correct in thinking this? Will a P38 not start if one of the front doors is open? If this is correct then I'll point them towards the numerous thread on here to sort the door out, if its not then I'll point them in a different direction.

All info is much appreciated.

Thanks

Terrific thats really helpful & good to know, I suspected that they have a separate problem most likely immobiliser / BeCM. Much appreciated thanks!
Yes, starts with any/all doors open. Loss of sync is possible as is immobiliser, ignition relay or fuse box. Petrol or diesel and what year?
