will a 19j starter motor fit the 200tdi ? or a series one ?

right my 200 in a series wouldnt start one morning after being on charge over night, so ive just tried another battery and its turning over really slow... iv got another starter and i think its 19j but might be series 3 petrol, will either of these fit ?

could it be something else ? solenoid is clicking in every time

I am fairly sure a 19j and 200 starter are the same.

19j should fit mate,mine did.

19j 200 and 300 all fit the same early large one would apart from it catches down pipe on turbo motors

reckon it is bust ? just turns over really slow, had 2 batterys on it now ...

have u checked the earths are ok on engine

My starter turned over really slow, turned out to be bad earth. Even though it was connected I had to re-crimp connections, clean up where they bolt as well.. Worked a treat

i did a jump lead from negative on battery to engine ?

Depends on how clean the connection is on the engine. When I was running my engine out of the vehicle, I found even connecting straight to the engine made no difference. I cleaned a few things up and it worked a treat!
