Wilkinsons Engine Oil

Wilkinson's have Castrol engine oil on half price offer. Castrol Magnatec 5W30 £12.99 for 4 litres.

Don't you have a 1.8 petrol? 5W30 is a bet lite imho.

They've got other types 10W30 Castrol part Synthetic £10
worth a look at your local Wilkinsons. I got the offer from Hotukdeals - missed it a few months ago but soon as I saw it again went down and bought 3x 4L of the 5W30.
All the oil on offer is shown on their website. Its shown as out of stock, but well worth giving your local Wilkinsons a call.

I get my engine oil from the Range. They have Car Lube 5W40 full synthetic for £18 for 5 Litres

No I don't use that grade , but if it's an offer on all castrol .

Also use the Range and fully synthetic (Truro).

Its not critical IMO. New oil is better than old oil. My Lambo has to have special oil gleaned from vestal virgins thighs

Fully synthetic is'nt 100% necessary but semi is and why short cut on oil? Especially if you can buy a full synthetic for around the same price of a semi!! By using a better oil you add a bigger safety margin especially in a hard worked engine like that fitted to the Freelander

Indeed, I use a semi synth in my Fleabag, Halfords normally. TBH I cant see that the subject is worth a whole thread - maybe on the Lambo Forum

Yes. £16.48 for fully synthetic and filter delivered free. Thanks for the info.

I find this lot to be fairly competitive Engine Oil, Motor Oil and Car Engine Oils from the largest UK independent online supplier of Performance Oils

Opie are based a few miles from me, their prices are good and they also stock the auto transmission oil.
