As the subject says.

I'm all in favour of spell checkers, but it keeps messing with the case.

ie when you type say PARTY it changes it to party

I then tried Party....which worked. Then someone quoted me, and it changed to party in the quote.

It's even more annoying when you do : D for :D and it changes to :d

It does this when there's not much int the thread - ie one word, or just :D.

What's going on, and can you stop it !!!!!!

No you can't stop it.

It is done like that because it makes someone feel important, because he knows more than you what you want to write - he thinks ... and as ever, he is WRONG.

It is very ANNOYING when "they" set daft or smart-arse rules.

In the line above, I typed the word 'annoying' all in caps.

Let's see what comes out.

Looks like ANNOYING to me:D:D

Just to clarify - I meant can YOU change it. (whoever YOU is)

I know I can't change it.

But forums like these have hundreds of settings that the admins can change - max size of avatar, length of sig etc etc.
I thought there might be a "Auto adjust case" setting or something.

Oh and it only seems to effect short posts.

eg next 2 posts are

:D:D:D

and

ANNOYING
