So far since owning this Range Rover Vogue 50 not a day has pasted when something has either gone wrong, don't fit, blown up, every time you try to enhance the car or put right the things that other people have butchered just goes wrong, are they all like this or is it just me, Im going to see clarky 130 on Tuesday so that he can try to correct the radio wiring that the previous owner butchered, he's got a lot to answer for, its right what they say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing or it was for the previous owner, Ok rant over:confused:

Easy now. I had one for nearly 2 years and did over 30,000 miles in mine. Apart from a few niggles it was great. A lot of car for the money as well. I'm sure you'll love it eventually.

That's the used car market for you mate. Some people ain't got a clue, then you suffer the consequences of it all. I am in the same boat, the previous owner dropped it in the drink, bodged repairs all over the place that I have been slowly working through, gives me something to do. Spent more on mine than I bought it for already. Haven't had it a year.

I love it though. Always wanted one, just glad I have another mode of transport.

Hi all I know what you mean cljcars its just all the stupid things he's done, so many i would be here all night listing them, thank god for this forum, I would be right in a state with out all the helpful members and there knowledge, don't get me wrong I do love the car, but it does play with your patience, and eventually it will all get sorted

Good luck with her mate, it will be worth it when its sorted. There are enough enthusiasts here to help out.

They have helped me out many times already, thanks again chaps.

I had this with my Series 3, fix 1 thing another thing goes, took me 7 months to get to an MOT standard, even then the petrol pump packed up on the morning of the test!
Both batteries failed on my first rally, £150 un-expected that week-end!
Since I've got it sorted its been the best Landrover I've had, no probs at all, so its worth persivering with it!
All you can do is stick with it mate, grin and bear it 'till you get through the other side.
Saying that I had worries over the 'new' Disco, door lock failed and had to replace complete door from breakers, silly things like stop light failure due to bad connection, rear caliper very badly worn and pad dropping through to rub and squeak on the hub etc, but it seems to be settling down now.
Trouble is I only moved down here fairly recently and I dont know any-one local to give me a hand, most of my help/advise has come from forums like this and previous knowledge, but being partially disabled makes doing the jobs a sod some times.
Just dont give in though, thats all I can say really.

I had the same thing Rednob with the rear pads, so new pads and discs, and the guy told me it had just had a full service at the moment trying to dry the front drivers side carpet, it just goes on and on, but she does look stunning LOL

I'm usually good with anything electric or electronic.... Just don't let me try and take any bits off from underneath with a spanner, as dogsbody alluded to earlier!!! :bounce:

PMSL :D - Sorry Clarky - Couldnt resist!! :p

To the OP - You'll love it once it's sorted - I'd drive mine every day if I could afford it Lol!! It was on a limited mileage insurance policy which I've already had to increase (It's only been running for 3 months! Lol!)

Well things are beginning to change I hope, seen Clarky and the stereo system is now fantastic, the drive was faultless so getting my faith back in my P38
