You just can't help looking around!

Although I love jack my series three, I can't help thinking how much happier I would be with a 110 like I was originally looking for!

Now should I sell jack and find a 110? Maybe someone fancies a swap?

I know. I have a disco 300tdi, and am constantly tempted by s3 109s, defenders, even p38s on very rare occasions. Whenever I've got some funds, the prices seem sky high, and whenever I don't, bargains are on always on ebay. :rolleyes:
 
I just keep wondering if I would be happier in the long run with a defender/110 because I can do more with it and plus my whole life revolves around defenders, I drive and work on them at work and I have even competed as a co driver at the jim Clark rally in a defender!

Wish they were as cheap as disco's though. Hard pushed to find a decent 110 which is less than 22 years old, for under 4 grand.

For that you can get a 2002 disco or a late mint p38. Having said that, neither could hold a candle to defender with regards to practicality and appeal.

Found this one, looks smart, but its still 1989; 1989 LANDROVER 110 4C SW DIESEL 12 SEATER COUNTY 4X4, 4WD | eBay

I've also been tempted by these ex company vehicles you see. Usually they're fairly modified with all the fun bits, winch, decent tyres, side bins etc. Would be ideal for overland, but not as versitile as a station wagon. The compromise is of course high milage.

Really like the look of that first one, I am actually a fan of the NA engine as it is the engine I learnt to spanner on with the TA before I went regular, my only issue is I only have the money that my series is worth to play with, annoyingly just as I bought my series I got offered a 110 for 1400 but I had just spent all my money!
 
Looks like a guy in our town (dont know him) has got rid of his old disco and got a 110
E reg ,tube rear x member tube sill gaurds,looks like hand painted gun metal grey ,diesel

pulled away sweet as

in prosses of helping my brother weld up his 110 v8, big plans for it :dance:

My 110 csw is an ex NORWEB vehicle. It only has 140k on it and I've had it for about 4 years. There are bargains out there.
