I'd like to say this is mine but sadly it isn't:

Mines 1/12/1985, not the oldest so doesn't count. And doesn't run either so still doesn't count. I do like to correct people who call it a 'defender' though:):p:D

My 110 on the road in 1984 but probably late in the year as it's listed as a 1985 model.

to make it more interesting, shouldn't the question be original 90/110 with the original engine (not 200/300tdi), etc... :)

My old girl is from April 1985. Mostly original, although rebuilt on to a galv chassis a few years ago. The axle steel seems to be of much better quality than the 1990 TDi I had before this one - my axle casings are fine, whereas the other ones had almost rotted through. Even the bulkhead is passable, though the footwells have been patched.

Yeah the 'nice jeep mate' is about the worst way to start a conversation with a Land Rover owner int it. Don't mind the truck thing too much, think it's more suited to one that's a bit of a thing tho not just standard

I always thought "Jeep" was a regional generic term for any 4x4, mostly up north............... I've heard it used for shoguns and the like. A bit like "Wagon" for lorries or trucks. Seldom hear either down here, I'm probably wrong though...........

I always thought jeep came from the original Willys jeep,

My mates got a 85 reg 90 but it's been rebuilt, mines an 87 also been rebuilt,

I saw a 110 up for sale a few months ago, was an 80's but carnt rember which, 1 owner from new and completely original,

Mine was original until about 5 years ago now it's got a galvanised chassis and disco 200tdi and transfer box.
