I think I have an LT95 gearbox in my 1981 2 door. It's making all sorts of noises and needs rebuilding. It has overdrive. Anyone know a good place to get this done professionally?

well ashcrofts wont do them because I asked out of interest and they said they can not help with that gearbox

in lro or lm atleast 2 advertise repairing lt95..

ashcrofts dont do them as stated (shame that!)

rpi dont (thank ****!)

me i would replace with lt77/lt85/r380 anyway...(unless keeping horrilbly original)

why not helpme get some of my cash back and go auto??very cheap setup going..£125 including transferbox pedals etc..

rpi are specalists alright!!but in takin your cash.lol..

james look in mags,i know for sure 2 companies advertise in there that do lt95's

You could try Gloucester Road Gearboxes in Bristol 0117 304 8076.
They've been at it for about 30 years. I don't know if they'll do the LT but maybe worth a phone call.

i bet there is if you looked ,i build every type and im in lincs which is rural ,down south theres bound to be more people with abilities,i would ask at local firms if they know of any who they would use ,there will be ex lr blokes from when been an engineer was that ,they need work to

spoke to David Beamont yesturday fully recon lt 95 450 plus vat , he went in to some detail ,
adding r380 or lt77 if you want to keep orignal are not an option as you need to alter the tunnel , also the rear mounts are in a different place i had a r380 in the disco i used for a donor car i tryed it on my chassis of my classic the mounts need moving the props , stsick with the lt95 James

lt 95 is tougher anyway. I saw the price list last night , 450 seems like a good deal. I wonder how much shipping will be from down here

plus if there are any problems getting it sent back then back again
