Hi all,

Im after some advice. im hoping to be getting some new wheels and tyres for my 90 soon. I dont do much offroading so im thinking BFG All Terrains. But, what size would you recommend and which rims do you think would compliment them? Ideally, i want them to be large and provide a bift of a lift.

My landy is white with black chequer plate.

Thanks

Anthony

I'm in the same boat, am ordering tyres and wheels this week, is 31, 10.50 r15 tooo big? I wanted the extra clearance (haven't got a lift kit yet)

Them 265's look pretty damn good though!

31 is small. I had a set on my old landy. 265/75 is a good standard size. dont go bigger unless you have a lift kit installed.

Universe - go with 265/75 AT's on modular or 8 spoke steel wheels. you can get these in black or white to suit. up to you. look for packages in the mags, there are loads of people selling these.

Oh right, I don't know why but I thought 31 was bigger given my mate has 33 or something on his.

So without sounding simple, is 265/75 bigger in height and width than 31 1050's?

Thanks for the advice guys!

Griffdowg...Ill certainly go for the 265/75's

Odenne: ha ha im loving the photos! where did you get your mach 5's from and what make are the tyres?! It looks awesome!

I know this question has been asked before, but I'm literally in the middle of ordering the tyres and want to be sure. Its only 20 quid more for MT tyres (over all 4 tyres) so is it worth getting them over the AT's? Will they totally destroy my fuel economy or not? I just think I'd like the knowledge that they will be awesome off road rather than just so so.

depends on how many miles you do on the road.

I run MTs everywhere, but i dont use my 90 as a daily driver. Only on weekends. personal choice really.

Mach 5's are around £140ea. bare metal. they are not cheap. D44 sell them along with others.

I was thinking of getting modulars anyway so the price of the rims isn't a big deal. I would probably say that I use my landy the same as you, mainly because I dont' drive to work so I only drive evenings short distances and the weekend. but I do go once a month to Wales which is 200 miles each way, so if that is massively affected then I guess I'll have to think about it. Does anyone know of any actual figures like how many mpg the BFG AT's do over the MT's?

I think the MPG will be negligible. It might be worth going with MT's if you can put up with an increase in road noise. are we talking normal BFG MT pattern here? because if your talking more aggresive simex style them thats a diff ball game.

G

Yeah I'm only talking about the BFG Mud terrains, nothing mental. If the road noise is the biggest sacrifice then I'm cool with that. Are you running the 265/75's on yours Griff?
