Hi all,

I'm normally very organised with looking after my lovely Landy, but sadly I discovered it's in desperate need of a service, but I'm unsure which I should have done. The schedule doesn't give any clues about what A, B or C are. So hopefully armed with the following info I hope you can help me.

Last service was a 'B' on October 2009 on 63,100 miles
It's now on 74,000 miles.
Disco II 2003 Petrol
Rarely used, but when it is it's for long journeys.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi mate any chance I could get a copy of what's to do on th d2 as I've a d2 td5 that's due too. Email is [email protected]. Cheers, Darren. :D

The copies of D2 V8service schedules I have show A & B only, A every 12000miles and B every 24000miles so you will be looking at an A service, the standard one. PM me with you email address and I will send u a copy showing whats involved.

Or look as this copy rubbish.

As it's not been serviced for two years I would say it needs a B service.

Will you have it done by a garage or yourself. If you do the work it's only the cost of the oils and filters, so I do everything, every time.

apart from other stuff changing all oils diffs ,gear box t,box is worth doing at least yearly on average miles ,you want to be draining cleanish oil out during service ,most vehicles i see only get engine done regulary and oil that comes outof other units wouldnt have been doing internal parts any good as a reconditioner you can see the difference when stripping boxes or axles etc lr like all manufacturers arent too worried about long time life but more on cheapening service times /cost
