When did EP90 become so hard to get hold of?
I need to refill the gearbox and diffs on the swb 88 and I'm having helluva job getting EP90 unless I want to pay £45 a gallon.....
I keep getting offered EP80/90 GL5 which is the right price ie less than £20 a gallon but is this the right stuff to use. Has EP90 been phased out? I'd be grateful if any body knows the correct replacement oil to use
ta.

80w90 is ok

EP80w90 is what I use in mine and have done for years. Very cheap on fleabay and free next day delivery.

I remember reading on here that GL5 is not suitable for the gearbox as the additives are apparently bad for brass or bronze components.

GL4 is said to be the correct one to use.

I filled everything on my Series 3 with 80w90 GL4.

EP 90 from Wilko. I get it with the mineral oil for £12 a gallon.
I do change it every 3000 miles though.
Seems to work OK.
