What blend motors would people recommend or are they all pretty much the same, do cheap pattern ones seem to last? Any pattern jobbies better than others? Ta.
I don't know if anyone apart from Valeo make them? depends on what side your doing, best advice I can give is this: if your driving a RHD RR then put a cheap one on the passengers side, as you can get to that easier than the drivers side so if it goes tits up again no sweat to fix it again, now the drivers one is a right pig (but i think there's a cheat for that some place) so buy a new one for that side cuz its not a job you want to repeat again soon
They should have a 2 year warranty!
And you saying about it don't help you have to do the job again, I know someone who bought paint for there Series II and did a great job of striping it all back and spraying it up, and 3 months later you could see the fading starting, after 6 months the colour almost washed out, it was nowhere near the colour it was meant to be, he went back and complained to the guy he got the paint from, and all he wanted to do was replace it, easy to do, but the guy was left either to strip it all back and start again, or put up with the washy colour, he was well ****ed off, and rightly so I think
The law doesn't give you a 5 year warranty. The sale of goods act gives some protection against faulty goods for up to 6 years but if the failure is wear and tear you have no protection. Goods have to be "suitable for the purpose intended" so in reality it's quite hard to get any recompense after 12 months especially on small items of little value.Yea but the law says different, 5 years, like almost everyone falls for that "would you like an extended warranty for that sir" that's the rip off
£250 to do blends ! Hell, I need to put me prices up......£250 labour, plus parts which I supplied (Island 4x4), gave him an extra £25 to replace the heater matrix o-rings while he was in there. I just couldn't be asked to lay on my back in the footwell of a car cursing and swearing - getting too old for all that!![]()
