Where do this little things go?

I got a set of replacement Britpart door hinges for my 2002 TD5 110 CSW, and included are lots of little plastic rings.. or very stiff O rings.

The original hinges that I've taken off don't seem to have them... any guidance on where they should on in relation to the picture below please... maybe where my left hand index finger is?

Yes that’s where I would put them, stop water flowing down the bolts to the inside,

Thanks. I did one hinge without them, then stopped for the day. Will stick the rings on that one, and do the rest next week.
