What is this wire, where should it go, and what does it do?

I am currently rebuilding my 110 after an engine fire (link). The replacement engine is now fitted and running form a makeshift starter setup. The engine I have fitted came with a complete discovery wiring loom which has made things easier, am I correct in assuming this is the same as the defender engine loom and will connect up no issue with the new 300tdi defender bulkhead loom I have ordered?
The only obvious issue with the existing engine loom is this wire as been cut next to the multi pin plug (pic below). It is a red and white wire that does not look like it has come from the multi pin plug, where should this be connected to and more importantly what connector should it have on it? I do not know what it should do or where it should go as standard. I have not yet fitted my bulkhead wiring loom, or even taken it out of the box, so have not been able to match up the connectors on the engine side of that to work it out.

Can no-one tell me what the red and white wire is? looking at wiring diagrams the only red and white I can see is form the glow plug relay to the starter solenoid but that doesn't help me work out what should be on this end of it where it has been cut.

That looks like a 200tdi to me?
If so mine engine loom is all Lucas spade or round terminals, nothing fancy like that blue plug.

Agree with above if that’s a 200tdi that plug isn’t native

Apologies I should have given more information. My 110 is 1989, it has a 300tdi bulkhead and new autosparks 300tdi bulkhead wiring loom. The engine is a discovery 200tdi, and that is the original 200tdi engine loom that came with it out of the discovery.

I think disco auto 200 with a/c had an extra two sensors in the top of the stat housing, if export some also had the option of EGR.

No ac ( does not have the pulley mount on the front of the timing case) and no egr. It is just a standard discovery 200tdi.
