Hi
I'm in Edinburgh and looking for a Defender 90 to buy. Is there a specialist in Scotland with a good reputation who sells them? Tried the usual Gumtree and Autotrader but struggling a bit to find one in the right condition at a reasonable price.
Thanks

Try Gem 4x4 in Larbert. Place is down beside the railway line. Nice people. They have a yard full of Defenders n series. Right place to get a project vehicle
Google to get contact details.

I've heard good things about Monarch in Glasgow, and Gibson Autos in Ayrshire.

Before anyone entions Lix Toll in Killin, I bought my first Land Rover from them, and I wouldn't go back.

Gibson's know they're stuff about landy. However they are really a repair garage and have never had any vehicles for sale anytime I have been in getting work done.

They do fantastic rebuilds and restorations for clients...long waiting list at the moment as the workshop is full

keep an eye on SLROC forum.

Define reasonable though - old rafts are cheap . Good old trucks are pricy compared to newer Rafts ..... Its easy to spend alot and end up with a raft - its hard to not spend alot and not end up with a raft unfortunantly.

Some might say its better to buy a cheap rafter and rebuild - thats what i did.

Hi
Yes I've joined SLROC and Mud Club and now starting to pick up some useful knowledge from folk. Landyzone is great too. People have been very helpful.

20 years ago. I bought a refurbished 90 Turbo from them, it looked great & ran well. It was only when my girlfriend (now wife) rolled it on a motorway slip road that we found out the rust holes in the bulkhead at the base of the windscreen had been stuffed with newspaper and filled, rather than welded.
