Whats your speaker setup?

Got two Sony things mounted to the channel that runs along the roof just behind my head. I've got no headlining (thanks MOD) or speaker pods. Turn 'em up and i can't hear a bloody thing from the passenger and it drowns out any nasty noises that may be emitted by the NA diesel screaming under the bonnet. I need some money to throw at the interior and some sound proofing just to make it semi-civilised

Are anyone else's so loud that if they turn them up past half way you can't stand within 10 feet of the car without your ears hurting?

Don't agree that they are just blasting at me knees !! I get a good sound that I'm well happy with.

I also have a minimum of sound proofing, lino glued onto inside of door skins,floor & bulkhead etc....
