I imagine this will start a debate, I recently inherited a landrover discovery that was brought new by my parents, since owning it I have sorted the issues they ignored for years, slipping clutch, leaking p gasket, new cambelt and the classic leaking sunroofs(fitted the seals they had in the boot for 3 years) since owning it I have also fitted a winch bumper and a 2" suspension lift using springs, although I have a list of things I would like, bigger tyres, winch, snorkel, flexi arches, heavy duty rear bumper, fog lamps for the winch bumper and a light bar, mainly as I like the look of all the mentioned items, what would be the most beneficial, I use the car for the cub run and muddy dog walks and some light green laning, although the more kitted out it gets the more ill do. It isn't my main car so tyres can be more mud orientated, im looking forward to your advise and if any one has any items lying around pm me any offers
Thanks in advance :)

Egr block off,
Silcone hoses,
Poly bush kit,
Decat pipe,
De-rust and pretreat everything,

Also don't forget to change the Serpentine belt, unless you know when it was last done, full fluid change.

For your average laning you just need some decent tyres, as you have done a 2" lift look for some 235/85s or 265/75s.

If you are going near water then look at wading kit and snorkel.

After that its a slippery slope :D

D1 lights are not great so spots are a worthwhile mod imho, if you use full beam a lot. As has been said m/t tyres are great if its not a daily driver. Kingpin tyres are cheap and I had good experience with them. Remoulds tho so just be aware.
Other mods are not going to do a great deal for ability but will make it look cool. No harm in that!

tough one this.. i'd say bluebeasty is nearly worthwhile.. but in general none i suppose.. all bloody useless

What nothing at all for light laning its just I was looking at doing it but my d1 is my every day for work etc although I do have mud & snow tyres on other than that its standard

We do do light laning, but not done anything for a while.
My Disco is almost standard, I even have road tyres at present so you'd be better of than me, mine is also a daily driver.

Fix the rust, if you say there is none you've not looked hard enough.

Disco in good mechanical condition and rust under control with good tyres on it is as capable as anything else you will find.
